I wrote this song based on my experience and journey as a marketing professional in New Zealand who quit my job and moved to the other side of the world to pursue music. I had this unsettled feeling in my stomach that sitting in an office 9-5 was not what I wanted to be doing. I wasn't unhappy, but I wasn't thrilled either. I realised that you only live once and you might as well be doing what brings you joy and purpose, not what society says you should do.

The song follows my realisation, the journey and the hustle I've had to learn along the way. I know I'm not alone with this feeling and that many people are on the same page. I want this song to give those people encouragement. It's a new year, a new decade and it's the perfect time to reflect on life and ask - am I happy? I hope this song gives people motivation in a fun and energetic way.
